When you buy
Stripe handles checkout as the merchant of record and keeps your payment details. We get your name and email to send and look up your license key. Card details never reach us.
When you activate
The plugin sends your license key, a computer code (a scrambled ID - not your name or files), your computer's name and OS. That's used only to check the key and count your computers. After activating, the license check never goes online again. The plugin does look for updates (it reads one small file from phasestation.com about twice a day) - it never sends your key, name or email.
Usage stats
While PhaseStation is open, it sends a small anonymous check-in when it opens and about every 10 minutes after that. The check-in has a random number that copy made up for itself (it isn't tied to your computer, license, name or email), the version, LITE or FULL, your OS and whether it's running in a DAW or on its own. It never includes your audio, projects or files. Your country is worked out from the connection, and your IP address is never saved. We use it only to count how many people use PhaseStation. You can turn it off any time in the plugin: SYSTEM > USAGE STATS. Download buttons on this site also count each download (no personal info). This site counts page views the same way: the page, the site you came from, your country, and a random number your browser keeps so a visitor is counted once a day. No name, email or IP address is saved, and no ad or tracking companies are involved.
The email list
If you join the list, or when you buy, we keep your email (and where you signed up, like the LITE download or the Mac waitlist) to tell you about updates, new drops and deals. Every list email has an unsubscribe link that works in one click, and you can always email us to be removed. We never sell or share the list. License key emails still come if you buy - those aren't the list.
This site
No ads, no tracking cookies. The controller preview runs entirely in your browser.
